Is an adverb.
Meaning and example :
Meaning: Indicates an event or state that is still ongoing and not yet completed at a certain point of time.
Note:
+ “Đang” indicates an event or state that is still ongoing and not yet completed at a certain point of time.
+ “Đã” indicates an event or state that has already begun. Perhaps that event or state is already completed or still in progress at a certain point of time.
Example:
Tôi đang ăn cơm.
I am eating.
Tôi hiện đang sống ở Việt Nam.
I currently live in Vietnam.
Lúc cậu gọi, tôi đang tắm nên không thể nghe máy được.
When you called, I was taking a shower, so I couldn’t answer the phone.
Tôi đang rất buồn vì đã lỡ làm mất cái nón mà bà mua cho tôi.
I’m so sad because I accidentally lost the hat that my grandmother bought for me.
A: Bây giờ cậu rảnh không? Tụi mình đi xem phim đi.
