Position in sentence :
Is a pronoun placed at the beginning or the end of the sentence.
Meaning and example :
Meaning: Indicates a thing that is far from the speaker but still can be seen. At the same time, “kìa” draws the listener’s attention to that thing.
Example:
Kìa, xe buýt tới rồi! Chúng ta phải nhanh lên!
There comes the bus! We must hurry up!
Nhìn kìa! Có một con mèo đang ở trên cây.
Look! There’s a cat on the tree.
Nhìn tòa nhà kia kìa. Nó thật là cao đúng không?
Look at that building. It is really tall, isn’t it?
Các cậu nhìn kìa! Cô bé ấy nhìn dễ thương quá đi!
Look! She is so cute!
A: Cậu có thấy hành lý của tớ ở đâu không?
B: Hành lý của cậu tớ để ở đằng kia kìa.
A: Do you see my luggage?
B: I put your luggage over there.
A: Đằng kia có tai nạn kìa!
B: Hèn gì mà đông người đến như vậy.
A: There’s an accident over there!
B: No wonder there are so many people.
Nhìn kìa! Đó chẳng phải là anh Nam hay sao?
Look! Isn’t that Mr. Nam?
Nhìn con bé ấy đi kìa. Hình như nó sắp khóc rồi đó.

Coi hắn ta kìa. Trông thật lôi thôi, luộm thuộm.

Sắp đến giờ học rồi kìa! Mau đi nhanh lên đi!
