What is onomatopoeia?
– Onomatopoeia is a word that mimics the sounds of nature or people.
– Example:
+ Onomatopoeia that mimics human laughter: ha ha, hi hi, khà khà, he he, hê hê, hô hố, hơ hơ, khúc khích, khanh khách,…
+ Onomatopoeia that mimics human cry: hu hu, oa oa, oe oe, thút thít,…
+ Onomatopoeia that mimics the sounds of some animals: chiêm chiếp (the sound of birds), ụt ịt (the sound of pigs), gâu gâu (the sound of dogs), chít chít (the sound of mice), vo ve (the sound of insects), be be (the sound of sheeps),…
+ Onomatopoeia that mimics the sound of water: róc rách, rào rào, ào ào, ồng ộc, tồ tồ,…
